2016 KBF OPEN Toledo Bend Final Results

The two day KBF Open on Toledo Bend is in the books and a winner has been crowned. Matthew Scotch of Texas, who finished second last year, was the 2016 Champion.

Scotch finished with 103.25 inches. The winning pattern was fishing grass in up to 12 feet of water, throwing a five inch worm with a slow retrieve. With his win Scotch (and nine others) qualified for the KBF National Championship on Kentucky Lake in March of 2017. He won $3,000 and a customized BlackPak from YakAttack. He fished from a Hobie Pro Angler 12 and used Johnny Morris BPS rods and reels.

The 2016 KBF Open on Toledo Bend paid six places and had 57 total entrants.

Second place went to Tammi Collins with 101.75 inches while third place went to Justin Tadlock with 100.5 inches. Fourth through sixth were John Bradford (98.75), Cory Dreyer (98.25) and Christopher Anglin (97.5).

In the Heroes on the Water Big Bass Brawl, David Kittrell’s Wednesday entry of 24.5 inches held its place which sent Kittrell home with the Wilderness Systems ATAK 140, a Bending Branches Angler Pro paddle, and a gear package from YakAttack.

Many of the anglers received prizes and gifts which included gift certificates to Harbuck Outdoor Sports, HOOK 1 Outfitters, free entry to KBF tournaments, and Ben Adrien won the Lifetime Membership to Kayak Bass Fishing.
