KGB Swimbaits Frog Fetches Over $1600 on eBay

Arkansas based KGB Swimbaits has sold a custom bullfrog swimbait on eBay for $1,675,00. The KGBullfrog weighs in at 10.9 ounces, and is 13.5 inches long. 

Established in 2012, KGB Swimbaits was started by the pure adrenaline rush of catching trophy sized bass on big swimbaits. 

Bidding started December 9th at $100 and ended December 12th at $1,675.

The question that remains is at what point does a lure become a work of art? While anglers everywhere consider lifelike lures to be works of art, the idea of paying more than the price of a nice kayak for one single lure seems a bit out there.

  1. If my skill level was bass tournament I would consider using it if it was effective. If my hobby ever turns into a money making career and I could afford it then I might use it. I would put that kind of money into a once in a lifetime trip.
