I’ll be honest. I’ve had a lot of weight fluctuation this year. I’ve gone from as small as 185 pounds to as heavy as 215. That kind of weight change and back again is hell on traditional belts. It looks like four or five holes are blown out of several belts I own and having to buy a couple of new belts during that time sucked. I started looking for a durable, adjustable, non-holed belt. I was done. That’s when I came across Klik Belts. Klik doesn’t use the traditional punch hole style belts but a strap tightening style. It’s harder to explain it than if you see it so here is what I’m talking about.
On the side that says “Cobra,” you loop the end of the belt through and it adjusts tight. No more 1/2 inch increments. It adjusts to as minute of a measurement as you need so if that food baby needs you to loosen up that belt grip, easy breezy. Of course, as with everything, there are good points and some points I’d like to see offered in future models. Those are below but first, let’s get the about section straight from Kilk Belts.

Klik Belts : The Good Stuff
First off, for a Christian in the outdoor world, it’s cool to see this little gem pictured above, under the tag. It’s also kind of humorous because it’s a very literal scripture that’s perfect for what Klik Belts does. I’ll save you the quick check.
Ephesians 6:14 New International Version (NIV)
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place…
Onto the fit and functionality. Per the fit guide, you should order your actual pant waist size. For me that’s a 34 right now. Do not fear, because each measurement comes with that many inches PLUS an additional six inches. If you’ll be carrying a concealed holster laced through or clipped to the belt, Klik recommends adding two inches to your waist size. And if it’s the wrong size they’ll swap it out for you for the first 45 days. The 34 inch belt I ordered fit perfectly. I loved being able to micro adjust it to the exact size I needed. If only pants came that way!
The Cobra buckle is stout, rigid, and doesn’t come loose unless you absolutely mean for it to. Here is a close up shot of the buckle joined and looped through. Up top you can see the two pieces of the Cobra buckle that connect.
OK, it’s a belt. It adjusts. Where else could I use this thing? How about a belt for your waders? In the colder months when I need to put on the waders to go kayak, the standing position of tightness of my wading belt needs to be different than when my belly is overlapping the belt sitting down and padding my kayak. Micro adjustments for the win again and none of that weak sauce plastic clip belt that’ll fail the first time it meets any kind of force.
While we are talking durability, you should know that 2 Ply is ridiculously strong. It’s like a ratchet strap on steroids. I’m not going to have to worry about it for years to come. Good buckle, good belt material, good functionality, good all around choice.
I don’t want to get too lovey-dovey though. The room for improvement section hits…now.
Klik Belts Room for Improvement
I love the buckle and strap but the biggest annoyance of this belt is that you have to thread the belt through your belt loops and then loop on the connector half of the belt buckle every time you use it. The width of the buckle is too much for most belt loops so you just gotta do it.
I’d like to see a smaller buckle in future editions. Maybe a “Coral Snake” buckle instead of the Cobra just to make it easier to wear with dress slacks and more business attire. Don’t get me wrong, the Klik Belts 1.5″ works great for everything but slacks pretty much but if I could get a dress style belt like this too, I’d be on that.
Final Thoughts on Klik Belts
I’ve already been wearing this belt every kayak fishing outing I take simply because it’s so easy to adjust on the fly. Sitting and standing means those 200 pounds move up down and around. A belt like this makes sure it’s not a full moon or a gut-wrenching event. If you want to check out the colors, styles, and pricing, CLICK HERE.
