A long-time endorser of Shimano fishing reels, the lockers in Combs’ Ranger bass boat are now loaded with Shimano Zodias and new Expride rods.

At the upcoming Bassmaster Classic on Lake Conroe in Texas – where Combs won the 2013 Toyota Texas Bass Classic, he’ll be relying on a his collection of trusty Curado 200HG reels matched to Zodias 172MH-G cranking rods for shallow and mid-depth cranking. He said he also has all kinds of confidence flipping with Shimano’s new Expride 171H rod with Shimano Metanium MGL and new Chronarch MGL reels.
