Fall in northeast is my favorite time to kayak fish. My top 5 days have all been during what I call “fall feed up.” When the fish are biting it can simply be electric but it is also a time when weather can play a dangerous role in any angler’s trip. I hope this real life experience serves as a reminder to ensure you have all the appropriate gear to take on the worst of what mother nature has to offer. River safety isn’t to be taken lightly.
