The 2018 10th Annual YakAttack Benefit Tournament will take place on May 18 – 19 and will be headquartered at the Cedar Crest
Conference Center at Twin Lakes State Park in Green Bay, Virginia; same location as previous years. The registration cap is 200
anglers and anyone attending the captain’s meeting, dinner, awards ceremony, or raffle will need to be a registered participant. Entries
are nonrefundable or transferable. Registration opens on February 5, 2018 at 7 pm EST. Here is a link to the online registration page:

With the growing popularity of the event and the short timeframe in which entries sold out last year, 48 hours, registration will be a little
different than in the past. Anglers who have participated in five or more Annual YakAttack Tournaments and the winner of each division
including the Slam from the 2017 event will get 24 hours early access to purchase their entry before it opens on Feb. 5. The 33 anglers
who met the requirements will be contacted directly by YakAttack.
188 anglers participated in the 2017 event. The event will benefit Heroes on the Water and Project Healing Waters. Last year the event
raised and donated $20,088.23 for Heroes on the Water and $2,500 for Project Healing Waters. For YakAttack, the main focus of the
event is raising funds for the benefiting organizations, enjoying home cooked food, and fellowship with other like-minded kayak anglers.
There is no cash payout or prizes won at this event for the fishing results. Prizes like kayaks and coolers are part of the benefit raffle.
The unique tournament dynamics make the event low pressure with anglers only fishing for bragging rights and a trophy. Follow this

I think it is great that they are letting the long term anglers register first. It shows gratitude and respect. This tournament is a good idea and I think I might try to enter next year. Wish everyone the best of luck and good times!
